SCHOOL UNIFORMS & GROOMING POLICIES
UNIFORM POLICIES
All Highpoint students are required to wear Highpoint uniforms,including uniform shoes, jackets/sweaters and Phys. Ed clothes. These are available at IBILEY UNIFORMS & MORE only. Uniforms must be ordered directly through Ibiley. They can be ordered on-line or at the store. www.ibiley.com
UNIFORMS ARE MANDATORY. Automatic detentions will be assigned to students wearing incomplete or improper uniform; no other attire will be allowed. All pants and tops must have the Ibiley emblem inside and Highpoint logo outside. Khaki colored skinny pants, jeans or other type of pants are not allowed. Shirts must be tucked in at all times. Students not wearing the complete uniform will not be allowed in class.
MIDDLE SCHOOL GIRLS:
Khaki Bermudas: Khaki bermudas are REQUIRED for all Middle school girls. They must be KNEE LENGTH in the Fall so as the girls grow during the school year, the shorts are not shorter than 2” above the knee. Shorter lengths will not be allowed and the student may be sent home.
Khaki Slacks: Middle School girls will be allowed to wear uniform khaki pants with paw logo all year long, not just during the winter months. However, only uniform pants from Ibiley Uniforms, with the PAW will be permitted. Any other pant will be considered "out of uniform" attire, and the student will be sent home.
PHYS. ED (Grades K-8)
Phys. Ed. T-Shirts and shorts will be sold at Ibiley Uniforms.
"SPIRIT FRIDAYS"
All students are required to wear the “Spirit T-Shirts” every FRIDAY. These custom t-shirts are sold only at Highpoint for $25.00 as an 8th Grade Trip Fund-Raiser. The Spirit Shirts may ONLY be worn with maroon PHYS. ED SHORTS, NOT jeans. Preschool Girls (Toddlers thru VPK) must wear the new khaki "skorts" with their Spirit Shirts; (these skorts are only sold at Ibiley Uniforms.)
NOTE: We will have a PTO fund-raising "JEAN DAY" on the last Friday of every month. A $25.00 donation to the must be paid in advance in order for student to wear jeans with their Spirit Shirt on that day. Jeans cannot be ripped at the bottom or have any holes.
WINTER ATTIRE

Girls:

SOLID BLACK dress shoes with velcro ONLY, no laces; (see below). Uniform shoes cannot be tennis shoes or sneakers.
K-8 PHYS ED:
Only SOLID BLACK RUBBER-SOLED TENNIS SHOE, with minimal WHITE accents/brand logos on the sides. No other color tennis shoe allowed.

- Elementary students may wear layers of white or cream colored turtleneck, undershirt and/or tights UNDERNEATH his/her uniform during cold days.
- Middle School students may wear layers of white or black colored turtleneck, undershirt and/or tights UNDERNEATH his/her uniform during cold days.
- K-8 students that have Phys. Ed. on the days when weather forecast indicates temperature will not rise above 50 degrees, may wear MAROON SWEATPANTS; (available at Amazon.)
- ONLY maroon jackets, sweatshirts, sweaters with the Highpoint logo may be worn. All other jackets will be removed.
- Note: If temperature is below 60 degrees during lunchtime, lunch may be served inside classrooms.

- Girls: White Highpoint socks with embroidered “paw” will be the ONLY sock that will be allowed (available at Highpoint). Girls' hair accessories may only be maroon/gold/white/ivory.
- Boys: Black belt and black, brown or maroon socks are required.

All K-8 students:

GROOMING POLICIES

JEWELRY:
MAKE-UP/NAIL POLISH:
- Hair must be clean, combed, and neatly and trimmed above the collar and above the ear at all times.
- Please inform hairstylist or barber that haircut must be a classic taper as follows:
- Hair cannot be shaved with less than a #2 blade. No shaved lines or hair designs allowed.
- If hair is shaved with a #2 blade on the sides and back, then length of the hair on top cannot be longer than 1.5 inches or shaved with less than a #4 blade length.
- PROHIBITED: Hair that touches the collar of the polo top, shaved heads, curled muffs on top or all around, hair tails of any length, spikes, mo-hawks, pompadours, punk style cuts, dyed or hi-lighted hair, faded haircuts with 0 or 1 blade shaved below.
- Students arriving to school with unacceptable hairstyles/haircuts will be sent home. They may also not be allowed to participate in a school function or event. Gel may also be applied at the school throughout the day when deemed necessary.
GIRLS HAIR:
- Hair must be kept clean, neat and well combed at all times.
- Hair cannot be dyed, colored, hi-lited, or shaved.
- Hair accessories for girls must be maroon, gold and/or white only.
JEWELRY:
- A maximum of one thin chain with one pendant allowed. These must not be visible and must be maintained inside the shirt.
- A maximum of one ring and one thin bracelet is allowed.
- Girls only may wear one small earring on each earlobe. No hoop-style, long or colored earrings allowed.
- Jewelry must be kept to a minimum at all times.
- We discourage the use of jewelry and will not be held responsible for any lost items.
MAKE-UP/NAIL POLISH:
- Nails must be clean and trimmed at all times. Nail polish of any color and/or Gel/Acrylic nails are not allowed; these will be removed. Middle School girls will be allowed to wear CLEAR nail polish only.
- Absolutely no make-up allowed. This includes: lip gloss, mascara, eye shadow, eye liners, base, blush, etc.
