On this page you'll find the works our 8th Grade "HNN News" Reporters produce over the course of their 8th Grade year. The entire 8th Grade class participates in this group project where students are taught a variety of skills. These include how to research news-worthy information; how to write entertaining and relevant stories; how to film correctly using their iPad; how to use a teleprompter and green-screen apps; and how to write and edit their own segments.
During our HNN classes, our students learn collaboration and organization and also improve their technology skills. They also learn to prioritize what's most important in order to meet their deadlines as a group. They learn to pay close attention to detail, especially during the writing and editing phases of the project. We enjoy seeing how their work becomes more fine-tuned with each production.
We hope you enjoy this year's 8th Grade HNN journey!
