Welcome to our "HIGHPOINT NEWS NETWORK"

Welcome to HNN News, our student-produced news program created entirely by the 8th Grade class throughout the school year.

As part of this collaborative project, students take on the role of reporters, writers, producers, editors, and anchors while developing valuable real-world skills. They learn how to research newsworthy topics, write engaging stories, film using their iPads, operate teleprompter and green-screen technology, and edit their own news segments from start to finish.

Beyond video production, HNN helps students strengthen communication, teamwork, organization, and time-management skills as they work together to meet production deadlines. They also develop critical thinking, attention to detail, and digital media literacy while learning what it takes to create a polished and professional broadcast.

One of the most rewarding parts of the experience is watching our students grow in confidence and creativity with each new episode.
