FACULTY SAFETY TRAINING

Our Faculty and Staff participated in a very important Safety Training with Corporal Butron & Commander Lozano among several other police officers who came to support our school safety program. We all were given a lot of important information and learned new safety skills we hope to never have to use.

As we discussed during out meeting, it's better to be safe than sorry! We will always do everything we can to protect the lives of our students and Faculty. We appreciate the knowledge and skills they shared with us and we look forward to many more opportunities to learn and grow with them.

OUR HEALTH SECTION
General Message to Parents:
At Highpoint, we prioritize the health and safety of all our students and faculty. As such, we work hard to ensure we provide a clean and healthy learning environment. Although we cannot completely stop our students and teachers from getting sick from time to time, we do our part to limit the exposure by cleaning classrooms and student common areas daily, regularly sanitizing toys and play areas, and taking regular outdoor breaks to circulate the air we breathe inside the classrooms.

Regardless of illness, be it a stomach bug, covid, or the common cold, we do not want any of our students or teachers getting sick. We know that no one likes to miss school due to having an illness, and we also know that health related absences (student or teacher) can negatively affect a child's progress in learning. Therefore, we have to work together to ensure we all stay safe and healthy while at school.

Below is some valuable information directly from the CDC's website to help you better determine if your child is healthy enough to return to school after being sick. We appreciate your cooperation in this to ensure we keep our school healthy and happy.
