SCHOOL UNIFORM & GROOMING POLICIES

All Highpoint students are required to wear Highpoint uniforms,including uniform shoes, jackets/sweaters and Phys. Ed clothes. These are available at IBILEY UNIFORMS & MORE only.

UNIFORMS ARE MANDATORY. Automatic detentions will be assigned to students wearing incomplete or improper uniform; no other attire will be allowed. All pants and tops must have the Ibiley emblem (or Highpoint logo.) Khaki colored skinny pants, jeans or other type of pants are not allowed. Shirts must be tucked in at all times. Students not wearing the complete uniform will not be allowed in class.
MIDDLE SCHOOL GIRLS:
Khaki Bermudas:
The khaki bermudas short is REQUIRED for all Middle school girl students. These will be worn to all special events. They must be KNEE LENGTH in the Fall so as the girls grow during the school year, the shorts are not shorter than 2” above the knee. Shorter lengths will not be allowed.
Khaki Pants:
The uniform khaki pants with paw logo is optional and will be the only pants permitted. Any other pant will be considered "out of uniform" attire, and the student will be sent home. Students will not be allowed to wear pants to special school events, only the bermuda shorts.
PHYS. ED (Grades K-8)
Phys. Ed. T-Shirts and shorts will be sold at Ibiley Uniforms. Solid black tennis shoes with white trims are required; see sample below.
"SPIRIT FRIDAYS"
All students are required to wear the “Spirit T-Shirts” every Friday. These are sold for $25 in advance as an 8th Grade Trip Fund-Raiser. Additionally, Students that donate $1.00 (for each Friday), can wear nice dark navy blue jeans; (without cut-offs, tears or different tones.) Payment of $25 for the entire year must be made in advance. This amount is a PTO Fund-Raiser.
WINTER UNIFORM
ONLY required Highpoint jackets/sweatshirts will be permitted. All other jackets/sweatshirts, including sports jackets, will be removed prior to entry. WHITE or CREAM COLORED TURTLENECKS or undershirts and NUDE COLOR TIGHTS may be worn underneath.
Middle School students may also wear SOLID BLACK turtlenecks or undershirts underneath their maroon polo tops. All others will be removed. Girls may wear long Ibiley Uniform khaki long pants only if the temperature at 7:00 a.m. is 50 degrees or below.
SOCKS/BELTS/ACCESSORIES
Girls: White HPA sock with embroidered “paw” will be the ONLY sock that will be allowed (available at Highpoint). Girls' hair accessories may only be maroon/gold/white/ivory.
Boys: Black belt and black, brown or maroon socks are required.
SCHOOL SHOES:
Girls: Brown "Mary Janes" (for Toddlers thru Kinder) and maroon "Penny Loafers" (for 1st thru 8th Grade). These are available at Amazon.com and at retail stores.
Boys: SOLID BLACK dress shoes without laces; not tennis shoes.

MAKE-UP/NAIL POLISH:
- Hair must be clean, combed neatly and trimmed above the collar and above the ear at all times.
- Shaved heads, spikes, mo-hawks, pompadour, punk styles, dyed hair, faded haircuts and hair tails are prohibited.
- Haircut must be a classic taper. Fade cuts cannot be shaved with less than a #2 blade length all around.
- If hair is shaved on the sides and back, then length of the hair on top cannot be longer than 1.5 inches or shaved with less than a #4 blade length.
- Students arriving to school with unacceptable hairstyles/haircuts will be sent home.
- Hair must be kept clean, neat and well combed at all times.
- Hair cannot be dyed.
- Hair accessories for girls must be maroon, gold and/or white only.
JEWELRY:
- A maximum of one thin chain with one pendant allowed. These must not be visible and must be maintained inside the shirt.
- A maximum of one ring and one thin bracelet is allowed.
- Only one small earring allowed in each earlobe. No hoop-style, long or colored earrings allowed.
- Jewelry must be kept to a minimum at all times.
- We discourage the use of jewelry and will not be held responsible for any lost items.
MAKE-UP/NAIL POLISH:
- Nails must be clean and trimmed at all times. Nail polish and/or Gel/Acrylic nails are not allowed; these will be removed.
- Absolutely no make-up allowed.
