Highpoint’s "Advanced Studies Program" (ASP) is an OPTIONAL rigorous middle school enrichment program designed for motivated students who demonstrate strong academic performance, responsibility, and advanced critical thinking skills in Mathematics and/or Language Arts. The program focuses on purposeful enrichment and meaningful academic rigor designed to deepen understanding and prepare students for future honors and advanced coursework. Our goal is to cultivate confident, independent learners who are prepared to excel academically and grow into future leaders.

APPLICATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY
​NO LATER THAN THURSDAY, AUGUST 6, 2026.


ASP WILL COMMENCE ON TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 1, 2026

IMPORTANT DATES:

Middle School Students who wish to join the ASP must satisfactorily pass the QUALIFYING EXAM for Language Arts and/or Math, in addition to meeting other criteria. These exams will be administered ONLY on the following days:​

Saturday, August 8, 2026: 
English Placement: 8:00 a.m.
Math Placement: 9:45 a.m.

Tuesday, August 11, 2026: 
English Placement: 8:00 a.m.
Math Placement: 9:45 a.m.  

MANDATORY PARENT VIRTUAL MEETING (via Zoom)
Parents of all ASP Students will be required to meet with Administrators and Teachers on Thursday, August 27, 2026 at 6:00 p.m.

IMPORTANT NOTES: 
  • Parents must register their child in the summer, by no later than August 6, 2026, in order to enroll in ASP.
  • Students cannot enroll after this time or at any other time during the school year.
  • Since this is an optional academically rigorous program, students are expected to maintain the program’s academic standards, high grades, and other participation requirements. Students who are unable to meet these expectations may be recommended to transition back to the regular classroom program at any time during the school year. Likewise, parents may request that their child return to the regular program if they feel it is in the student's best interest.​
